Education
He graduated from Third Higher School in Kyoto and then Glasgow University.
Career
Returning from England (1902), he became acquainted with Jokichi Takamine and was appointed managing director of the Takamine Trading Company. After Takamine's death, he became its president. After the firm was reorganized into·the Tatsumi Trading Company, he was appointed its managing director.
