Education
Yotsuo Toriyama graduated from Tohoku University (1922). While studying in Germany (1927), received degree of Doctor of Engineering and on returning to Japan received the doctorate degree again (1930).
Career
Following return to Japan, appointed professor of Hokkaido University (1926) and remained in this post till 1944. Appointed professor of Tohoku University (1961).
