Career
He entered Sumitomo Aluminum Company, predecessor of Toyo Aluminum Company (1931) and after successive promotions became its managing director and then representative director.
Served also as director of Nihon Keikinzoku Kaisha (Light Metals Company) and several other metal industry companies. Holds several additional posts including those of vice-president of Keikinzoku Kyokai (Light Metals Association), director of Nikkeiren (Federation of Japan Employers' Associations) and councilor of Federation of Economic Organizations.
