Akanoma, Yukimori was born on January 11, 1940 in Tokyo. Son of Fumiaki and Masuko (Takemitsu) Utsumi.

Bachelor in Business, Waseda University, Tokyo, 1962. Postgraduate, University of California at Los Angeles, 1965.

Career

With Kodansha International (Publications), 1966-1987. Sales manager Kodansha International (United States of America) Ltd., 1968-1972. Editor-in-chief, director marketing Kodansha International Limited company, Tokyo, 1982-1987.

President, public Asia Press Limited company, since 1988. Chairman board Japan Association for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, since 2000.
