1914 stage debut with Tiflis Arts Social. Worked at theaters in Tiflis, Yekaterinburg, Penza, Rostov, Odessa and Khar’kov. While in emigration performed at Bulgarian, Czechoslovakian and German theaters.
1924 joined Russian Drama Theater, Riga. 1924 helped found and run Riga Workers’ Theater (closed in 1934). Taught at Latin Theatrical Institute.
