Yury Danilovich Goncharov

Background

Goncharov Yury Danilovich was born on the 24th of December,1923 in Voronezh.

Career

He has been published since 1940. Participant of the 1st All-Union Conference of Young Writers (1947). Employee of Voronezh Regional Book Publishing (1945-1949). Special correspondent for the newspaper Molodoy Kommunar (early 1950s). Editor of the prose department of the magazine "Rise" (1970-73).

Achievements

• He is the author of more than 30 books. In the city Buturlinovka Inter-settlement central regional library is named after Goncharov Yuri Daniilovich. In the State Archives of Voronezh Region there is a personal fund of Goncharov (P-402).
