Yuzo Koide graduated from History Department of Waseda University (1917).
After graduation he served for 25 years at a middle school in Aichi Prefecture. Yuzo Koide visited Thailand as Buddhist delegate (1928) and served as chief priest of Shokoji, Sairokuji and Shounji temples. He became principal of Aichi Middle School (1945), director of Aichi Gakuen (Academy) (1949) and principal of Aichi Gakuen Middle and High Schools. Appointed president of Aichi Gakuen Junior Colleige (1953) and then president of Aichi Gakuen University (1953). Assumed additional posts of president of Tokai District Private School Association, president of Nagoya Private School Association and chairman of Nagoya Branch of Private School Association.
