Henderson, Zach Suddath was born on January 24, 1902 in Gillsville, Georgia, United States. Son of Hollis and Onieda (Suddath) Henderson.


Bachelor of Science, Piedmont College, 1922, Doctor of Laws, 1948. A.M., Columbia Teachers College, 1928, postgraduate, 1930-1931. Postgraduate University of Chicago, 1940-1941.

Superintendent public schools, Eastman, 1926-1927. Dean Georgia Southern College, 1927-1948, president, 1948-1968, president emeritus, also consultant teacher education to university system chancellor, 1968-1985. Chairman Georgia High School Accrediting Commission, 1946-1955.
