She ran track and field In 2005, she received a scholarship from Deutsche Bank for competing in the Young Enterprise Scheme United Kingdom finals. She graduated from Brunel University London with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours).
In college, Mimano began a business buying and selling cars and electronics.
During her gap year, she worked for Morgan Stanley and Union Bank of Switzerland Investment Bank in London. Mimano established Aba Oil in 2011.
Aba Oil, Limited Liability Company was founded in Abuja, Nigeria. In 2015, a new global headquarters opened in Knightsbridge, London.
