He, together with his friends appealed to the lord of the province to help in a project to dig the IrukaIke pond in order to develop rice fields. With the lord complying with the request, the huge project was completed, yielding 1,200 chdbu (one chobn is 2.45 acres ) of new rice fields.

Achievements

• He built a canal on the Kiso River to develop local agriculture.
