Was instructor at Kokugakuin and Nihon universities and then assistant professor at Tohoku University in Sendai (1927). He is at present professor and dean of the Jurisprudence Department, Tohoku University. An authority on the laws concerning family relationships. Writes detective stories under the pseudonym of Goro Kozenji.
