Background
Zenshichi Kuruma was born in 1600. He was the brother of Moko Kuruma, a retainer of clan lord Yoshinobu Satake.

Career
After his brother was killed by the orders of Ieyasu Tokugawa, he set forth to revenge his death, but was taken prisoner instead. But Tokugawa somehow liked his courageous spirit and oftered him a job, but he refused it. Iinstead he asked them to be made the head of the Hinin beggars.
