Zentaro Kojima studied at Taiheiyo Yoga Kenkyujo (Pacific Painting Research Institute) and then went to Europe (1922) and studied painting in France and Italy.
After returning home (1925) Zentaro Kojima served as professor of Nihon Fine Arts School, lecturer of Joshi Koto Gakuen (Women's Higher Institute) and Meiji Gakuin College and councilor and permanent councilor of Kyoto Art Museum.
