BYADULYA, Zmitrok was born on May 5, 1886 in village Pasadets, Vilnius Province.
Studied at Jewish theological seminaries in village Dovginovo and ll’ya.
1902-1912 laborer, then overseer for timber floats. 1910 first works published. From 1912 worked for Belorussian newspaper Nasha niva in Vilnius.
1920-1926 on ed staff of newspaper Savetskaya Belarus’-, 1921-1923 simultaneously ed, children's magazine, Zorka: 1923-1926 member, Maladnyak (Youth) Literature Association. 1926-1931 member, Uzvyshsha (Eminence) Literature Association. From 1927 ed, regional studies journal Nash kray, organ of the Institute of Belorussian Culture, then of the Belorussian Academy of Sciences.
1929-1930 subjected to Party criticism for Belorussian nationalism. 1930 published letter of repentance in order to avoid arrest and exile. During 1930's criticized for ’’ideological errors” in his short story ’’The Nightingale” and novel Yazep Krushyinski.
