Background
Yin was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Her mother, Yuemao Xu, is a real estate developer. Her father, Doctor Yizhong Yin, is a businessman.

Career
Her older sibling, Victoria Yin, is also a child prodigy painter and poet. Yin began drawing when she was one year old. She exhibited at the International Art Expo New York at age 8.
Yin has been represented by galleries in America and China since age nine, and became internationally known.
Her first museum exhibition was at the World Art Museum in Beijing, China when she was ten. Yin was interviewed by CCTV (China Central television) cultural express, China Education Television television, and CCTV worldwide broadcasting program cross over and painted live in front of a worldwide audience.
Yin was also interviewed by Boston WCVB-television Chronicle. Yin"s story was documented in two episodes of PRODIGIES, "Young Prodigies Dazzle The Art World" and "Art Prodigy Compared to Matisse" when she was 11.

Membership
At age six, she became a member of the Andover Artists Guild and exhibited at the 33rd annual Andover Art in the Park, where she sold her first acrylic painting.
