Zsolt Szokol was being brought up in Békéscsaba. He played for Békéscsaba 1912 Előre Southeast in the 2008/09 Nemzeti Bajnokság World War II Újpest
In the autumn of 2009 he aroused the interest of Újpest Football Club. After a trial the young talent was transferred for approximately 7 million forints, signing a contract until 2013.
= 2010-2011 season After a good first season in July he was invated to the U21 Hungarian National Team.
In September 2010, he debuted for Hungary, playing in an under-21 against Wales U21.
