Education
He received a Bachelor of Laws (Bachelor of Laws) at the Faculty of Law Iustinianus Primus, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, where he also received his Master of Science in the area of Business Law.
Career
He holds the post of Consul General of the Republic of Macedonia in New York City. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the same University, with a dissertation on the topic of European Union-United States Relations. He began his professional career in the Yugoslavian Foreign Service, with his first post being third secretary at the Permanent Mission of Yugoslavia to the United Nations.
Following Macedonian independence, he joined the Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he headed the Analytical department.
Soon after he was given the task of opening the Macedonian Consulate General in New York, where he served as Acting Consul General from 1995-2000. In 2000 he returned to Macedonia and was appointed Chief of Cabinet to the then Minister of Foreign Affairs, Srgjan Kerim.
He also served in this post to Ministers Ilinka Mitreva and Slobodan Casule. From 2002-2006 Mucunski served as chargé d"affaires at the embassy of the Republic of Macedonia in Ottawa, Canada.
In 2006 Mucunski was appointed as the President of the Government Commission for Relations with Religious Communities and Groups.
He led the team that drafted a new Law on Religious Communities and Groups, that was positively rated by the Venice Commission of the CoE, as well as the United States State Department. As of 2009, Zvonko Mucunski has been Consul General of the Republic of Macedonia in New New York
