A. Michael Degtjarewsky was born in 1938 in Rostov, Russsia.

Education

Degtjarewsky attended California State University at Los Angeles, where he earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1965.

Career

He has been a photography instructor in California at Orange Coast College in Orange since 1974, at Mount Saint Antonio College in Pomona since 1979 and at several workshops in Yosemite. During the years 1975-76 and 1978 he taught at Santa Ana College. He also works as a contributing U.S. correspondent for Color Foto Journal in Munich, Germany.
