Close to Guchkov. Before the February Revolution. 1917, planned a coup against the Tsar. At the front during World War I. Involved in the KornilovKerenskii confrontation in summer 1917.
After the defeat of the Kornilov revolt and a stormy meeting with Kerenskii in Petrograd, shot himself.
