KOLEN, Aaron was born in 1893.

Works on plastic surgery of the eyes and their appendages. Studies clinical aspects and treatment of war injuries of the eyes and trachoma and eye lipoidosis. Introduced modifications and improvements of various eye operations.
Developed: peduncular grafts of subcutaneous adipose tissue for plastic operations in the occipital region. A surgical method of correcting a dislocated crystalline lens in the cases of various cataract complications. A new method of transplantation (flap grafting).
Methods of simultaneous restoration of the eyelids and the conjunctival sac. Methods of restoring the patency of lachrymal ducts affected by structures or atresin. Plastic restoration of the palpebral angles, etc.
