Ordained ministry Presbyterian Church in the United States, 1881. Pastor successively Mount Horeb Church, Fayette Company, Kentucky, Walnut Hill and Bethel, same county, until 1893, First Church, Staunton, Virginia, 1893-1929 (emeritus). President Mary Baldwin College, 1923-1929.
