In 1997, Mark began studying Applied Chemistry at the University of Calabar, Nigeria, where he was an active member of the Students’ Chemical Society of Nigeria and the Federated Union of Ndokwa Students. He completed his studies in February 2001. In September 2024, he started an MSc program in Oil and Gas Management at the University of East London, England.
Mark’s interest in oil and gas analysis led him to intern at Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company, a division of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), in 1999/2000, working in Production Programming and Quality Control. After completing his National Youth Service Corps, in January 2003 he joined Globestar Engineering Company Nigeria Limited, a Stolt Offshore S.A subsidiary, as a material clerk. In 2006, he moved to Intels Nigeria Limited as a Fuel Laboratory Technician, eventually becoming the Laboratory In-charge in 2014. He voluntarily left Intels in February 2018 to join Global-Serve Limited as a Senior Laboratory Chemist. After a year, he relocated to Qatar to work as a Chemist - Oil and Lubricant at Accurac Laboratory Analytical Services in Doha, where he utilized his skills to prepare assessment processes and successfully defended the ISO 17025:2017 audit.In September 2021, Mark Enumah relocated with his family to Oxford, England. He initially worked as a Process Technician at Lumentum Technology Limited in Towcester, UK. Currently, he is serving as a Chemistry Technician at Zero Petroleum in Bicester, England.
I played a key role in the start-up and commissioning of the Oil Laboratory Section and led the team through the ISO 17025:2017 audit, achieving outstanding results for all lubricant parameters assessed. My proudest moment was when my company received the certificate of accreditation just two months later, a testament to our hard work and performance.
