His new book collects portrait photographs of famous contemporary photographers taken over a period of more than 20 years. It covers the old masters of American photography from Ansel Adams to Minor White and the young kids from the Dusseldorf School. The pictures are complemented by an autobiographical text by the photographer.

Abraham (Abe) Samuel Frajndlich was born on May 28, 1946 in Frankfurt, Germany.
Abraham (Abe) Samuel Frajndlich received his Bachelor of Arts (1968) and Master of Arts (1970) in English Literature from Northwestern University, Chicago. He studied with Minor White at a live-in workshop (1970-1971) and worked with White from 1975 until White's death in 1976. Frajndlich also worked with Nathan Lyons in 1974-1975.
A freelance photographer since 1970, Abraham Frajndlich does some commissioned portraiture and annual reports, along with his own work. A member of SPE and the New Organization of the Visual Arts, Cleveland, Ohio, the photographer was chosen to represent the state of Ohio before the U.S. Senate in 1974. Using his background in literature, Abraham Frajndlich was concerned in his early photographs with sequential literary issues.
