After graduate specialized at Chair of Psychiatry, Khar’kov Medical Institute. Simultaneously assistant professor, Department of Forensic and Labor Expertise, and learned secretary, Khar’kov Medical Institute. From 1940 assistant professor
Chair of Psychiatry, Ukraine Research Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology. During World War 2 served in Soviet Army. After demobilization director, Psychiatric Clinic, Khar’kov Psychiatric Hospital and head, Organization(s) and Methods Department, Ukraine Research Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology.
1956-1960 head, Chair of Psychiatry, Turkm Medical Institute. From 1962 head, Department of Neuroses and Borderline States, Khar’kov Research Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology. Did extensive research on the theory, clinical aspects and treatment of mental and nervous diseases with special reference to psychology, neurosurgery, experimental neurophysiology and theoretical biology.
Studied the functional relationship of the cerebral hemispheres, devised an original classification of states of shock resulting from war traumas and of personality changes during illness, and investigated the clinical aspects of traumatic psychoses. During last 15 years specialized in the physiology and pathology of the brain. Wrote over 100 works.
