Career
Urbšas graduated from high school in Panevėžys in 1922. He joined the army and, between 1934 and 1940, rose to become of the Lithuanian army. In this position, Urbšas participated in the Soviet liberation of Klaipėda in 1945.
He was named the first honorary citizen of Klaipėda.
