Views
Sánchez Vázquez is part of the generation of ‘transplanted’ philosophers who were exiled after the fall of Republican Spain. At an early age in Spain he joined the United Socialist Youth and became editor of its newspaper, Ahora. His philosophical work concentrates on the aesthetic ideas of Marx, the relationship between Lenin and art, and artistic and literary politics. Sánchez Vázquez seeks to include socialism and art in a broad conception of the person.
