Prepared minority report at the convention, of Committee on Canals, and the Canal Amendment,” later accepted by popular vote. Largely instrumental in preserving Niagara Falls, as a state property, also in securing passage and enforcing the five-cent fare” law. Member first Municipal Council of Greater New York, 1898-1902.
President Taxpayers’ Aliance, 1896-1900, and counsel to various civic orgns. An organizer Peoples Guaranty & Indemnity Company, 1896. Retired from practice, 1911, to devote time to scientific research.
