Aida Bunnosuke

Background

Aida Bunnosuke was born in Koshigaya in Musashi Province (Saitama Prefecture). His family name was Aida and his given name Bunnosuke.

Career

He came to Edo (1769) and became a judge of haiku poems. In 1778, he received the title of Hokkyo (a title reserved for priests and artists).
