Career
He entered the Home Ministry soon after his graduation from Tokyo University in 1919, and became Welfare Minister in the Koiso Cabinet after serving as Pre- fectural Governor at Miyazaki, Hiroshima, Aichi and Ehime and Vice-Minister of Welfare. After the war’s end, he was purged. Following the depurge, he was returned to the House of Representatives three times on a Liberal Party ticket, and hold a seat in the house of Representatives.
