He studied under Hidemaro Konoe and served as a conductor for the Tokyo Chorus Group of the New Symphonic Orchestra and later as a singer and composer of Nippon Columbia Co.
He became instructor at the Police College (1946) and managing director of the People's Culture Association (1948). He composed more than 3,000 musical compositions.
