Valery Grigoryevich graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Culture named after N. K. Krupskoy (now Saint Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts) in 1984.
Valery Grigoryevich directed the song and dance ensemble "Zorenka'"(Bogoroditsk, Tula region) and the folk instrument ensemble "Rus" (Yensky village, Murmansk region).
