He graduated from Kyoto University (1909) and from Fukuoka Medical College. Studied at graduate school, Tokyo University.
Career
Emeritus professor of Tokyo University. Appointed professor of Niigata Medical College (1922).
After returning from studies in Europe became professor of Tokyo University and held the chair of urinology (1927). Was director of the hospital attached to the university and dean of Medical Department.
Retired under age limit (1945). Director of Tokyo Teishin (Communications) Hospital (since 1946). Served as president of Sexual Disease Prevention Association.
