A young man and was first employed as draftsman in the office of Roy A. Wagner, an architect whose work was mainly schools and private homes. Opening his own office in 1917 he continued active in practice until 1931 when he entered Government employ as an Engineer.
Among the various types of buildings in Ashland which were designed by Mr. Klein should be mentioned the Hager and Condit schools, erected in 1923; the Parsons-Faulkner Department Store; the Camayo Arcade Building, completed in 1926, in which he maintained an office until his death; Salvation Army Citadel, and the Third National Bank Building, 1930.
