Educated Home Missionary College, and Owen’s College Manchester, 1873-1876, Manchester New College, London, 1882-1885. Studied philosophy and theology under Doctor James Martineau, Review William Gaskell, Doctor Brooke Herford, Professor Estlin Carpenter. Logic and political economy under Professor Jevons.

Career

Entered Methodist ministry, 1872. Became Unitarian at 21 years of age. Minister at Bolton and Newchurch, Lancashire, England, and for 14 years at Glasgow, Scotland.

Pastor Unity Church, Chicago, 1899-1903, Second Congressional Church (Unitarian), Lynn, Massachusetts, since 1905. Has written various published articles, lectures, essays. Address: Lynn, Massachusetts.
