Albert Matheny finished University of Tennessee, receiving his Bachelor of Science in 1972 and Master of Science in 1974. In 1979 he successfully graduated from University of Minnesota—Twin Cities, from which he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy degree.
Starting from 1978 Mr. Matheny worked at University of Florida, Gainesville, as an associate professor of political science. He also serves as a journalist and known to be a writer.
Albert Matheny has published a great number of articles in different periodicals, such as The Journal of Politics,Law & Society Review, Law & Policy, Policy Studies Journal, and The National Civic Review, as well as in several edited volumes. He's also widely known for his book called Democracy, Dialogue, and Environmental Disputes: The Contested Languages of Social Regulation.
