Entrusted by President Sáenz in 1914 with the organization of the National Department of Labor Statistics and by Governor Padilla to perform similar services in the Province of Tucumán. Professor of statistics in the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires, 1914. Later chosen member of the academic council and president of the teaching staff (cuerpo docente).
Professor of political economy in the Faculty of Law of the University of La Plata. Director-general of the national census (Estadística de la Nación), 1916-1920. Reappointed to same post, 1922-1924.
Lecturer in a number of North American universities on the economic consequences of the World War, 1922. Adviser on economic questions and subsequently director of the Banco de la Nación. Chairman of the Commission on Budget, 1924.
President of the “Caja de Conversion”. Technical delegate to the Second Pan-American Financial Conference, 1922, and the Fifth Pan-American Conference, 1925. Chairman of the Argentine commission invited by the government of Chile to assist in organizing the national census, 1930.
Sr. Bunge has founded and directed since 1918 the Revista de Economía Argentina. Since 1924 he has been a member of the law firm of Bunge & Zavalia. He is also a member of the board of directors of many commercial and industrial companies, including Trimotor Safety Airways of New York.
