During 1917 October Revol member, Moscow Military-Revol Committee, and commander, Moscow Military district. 1918 comissar, Main Civil Aviation Board. 1919 fought at Tsaritsyn.
1920 chairman, Ukraine Supreme Revol Tribunal. 1921 counselor, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Mission in Riga. Then worked at Lenin Institute, Moscow.
1924 head, Press Department, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Mission in Paris. 1927-1928 Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics plenipotentiary in Lithuania 1929-1933 Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics plenipotentiary in Czechoslovakia.
From 1934 chairman, All-Union Social for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries. Arrested by State Security organs. 1916 first work published.
