1893-1903 intern, then assistant professor, Korsakov Psychiatric Clinic. 1899 founder-director, Centr Admission Ward for Mental Patients, Moscow Municipal Administrator Secretariat up patho-anatomical, biochemical and experimental psychology laboratories at which he taught as an associate professor of Moscow University from 1902 until his death.
1901-1905 head, Psychology Laboratory, Psychiatric Clinic, Moscow University. 1907-1912 head, Psychology Laboratory, Pedagogical Assembly. Company-ed and ed, various journals of psychiatry and psychology.
1920-1922 deputy head, Main Board for Sciences Museums and Sciences and Art Institutions, People's Commissariat of Education. Director, Moscow Psychoneurological Institute. Devised a qualitative intelligence test for certain mental disorders.
Wrote over 50 works on medical psychology and psychiatry.
