Sechenova: did research on the adaptive trophism of the sympathetic nervous system: described the influence of the nervous system on the activity of the skeletal muscles (Orbeli-G¡netsinskiy phenomenon).
Analysed the ontogenetic characteristics of the oxygen-binding properties of hemoglobin and adaptation to hypoxidosis in antenatal and early postnatal ontogenesis. 1950, after dissolution of Orbcli’s physiology school, was forced to move to Novosibirsk. 1955 returned to Leningrad and was rehabilitated along with Orbcli.
