From 1901 studied at Saint St. Petersburg University.
1905 took part in Revol as member, military engineering group, Central Committee, Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party. 1908 Worked abroad for Central Committee, Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party. 1909 returned to Russia.
1911 resumed studies at Saint St. Petersburg University. 1914 drafted into Russian Army, where he designed a new anti-aircraft gun-sight: after 1917 October Revol in Red Army. Inspector of Petrograd anti-aircraft defenses.
1920-1925 Soviet trade representative in Finland. 1925-1929 worked at Soviet trade mission in Berlin. 1926 designed self-sharpening cutting tool (Soviet patent 14451 for 1926).
This invention was also patented in the United States of America, Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Belgium. After return to Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics worked at A. M. Ignat’yev State Research Laboratory, Moscow. In the course of research on the production of multilayered tools devised a method of electr welding under pressure which made it possible to weld together any quantity of individual strips or disks of different thickness in any sequence.
Designed welding press and continuous welding machine for this process. Made numerous other inventions.
