From 1910 assistant professor Chair of Physics, Moscow Higher Women's Courses. 1914-1918 worked in x-ray department of a military hospital in Moscow.
From 1918 taught at Moscow University. From 1930 professor, 2nd Moscow Medical Institute. 1939 gave up teaching for health reasons.
1916 invented roentgen stereometer for locating bullets and shrapnel in the human body. 1923 used emitter of own design to obtain ultra-short waves in the range ol several centimeters to 82 microns. Did extensive research on these wavelengths with equipment which she designed herself.
