Alexander Alexandrovich Orlov

In 1862, Alexander Alexandrovich became a monk. He was a keeper of the Zvenigorod Theological School (1862-1863). He was an inspector of the Vifan Theological Seminary (1863-1880), at the same time was an abbot of the Moscow Znamensky Monastery (1872-1880). Alexander Alexandrovich was the Bishop of Ostrogozhsky, the Vicar of the Voronezh Diocese (1880-1882), at the same time abbot of the Alekseyevskiy Akatov Monastery. He was a bishop of Cheboksary, Vicar of the Kazan Diocese (1882-1888), where he led an active struggle against schism. Bishop of Kovno, Vicar of the Vilna Diocese (since 1889), at the same time the Head of the Vilna Svyatoduhovsky Brotherhood and the Diocesan School Council.
