When Alexander Alexandrovich was 18 years old, he won a competition, held by the lyceums of France, to study the campaign of A.V. Suvorov in Switzerland. He had to write a report on this campaign, and in August 1965 he went alone with a tent at the "footsteps of the great Generalissimo." He went all the way of the Suvorov knights through the Alps.
When Alexander was 20 years old, he entered the French army to serve there for 16 months. He got into an interesting military base - the 24th Jaeger Battalion, which was in the French zone of the German occupation (Black Forest).
After the army Alexander wanted to continue his education, but in 1968 the student riots began. Alexander graduated from the evening courses of a commercial institute.
After the army Alexander found out that at the shipyard of Nantes (near the Atlantic Ocean) was a huge order for the delivery of refrigerated vessels for the Black Sea fishing fleet of the USSR. He volunteered to serve at the shipyard as an interpreter. Then he became deputy commercial director.
After completion of the contract Alexander Alexandrovich returned to Paris, joined the firm that supplied the welding system for car bodies (including for GAZ-24). Then he spent three years in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, where he was involved in the supply of equipment for the oil fields of northern Iraq. Caught in the midst of the civil war in Lebanon, Alexander decided to return to Paris, where he was offered a job at the firm "Thomson" to manage the market development with the USSR. In 1975-1994, he worked for this firm, supplying computer communication systems for the Academy of Sciences, TASS, Morflot, RAO UES of Russia and Gazprom.
Since 1980 Alexander Alexandrovich has mainly worked with Gazprom, supplying various equipment, not only for gas production and processing, but also for the functioning of a number of other structures engaged in forestry and winemaking.
Alexander Alexandrovich Trubetskoy is a member of the NGO "Union of Friends of Bulgaria".
A group of enthusiastic friends went to Bulgaria on the anniversary of the capture of the town of Plevna. Among them were A.A. Trubetskoi and his wife, V.M. Gurychev with his wife, V.A. Zolotarev, V.V. Sharapov. The success of this first event encouraged Alexander Trubetskoi and his friends to continue their journey. They decided to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Suvorov move through the Alps.
In addition, Alexander Trubetskoi along with V.M. Gurychev supported the team of the Russian yacht "Maxi-class". Alexander Trubetskoi together with V.M. Gurychev and Alexander Krylov helped not only to organize the exhibition of the artist Kadol, but also to publish his album.
In December 2000 Alexander Trubetskoi took part in the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Imperial Guard, which took place in St. Petersburg under the aegis of the Hermitage.
Nowadays Prince Alexander Trubetskoi lives in Paris, however he always says that he is a patriot of Russia. Alexander Alexandrovich is a true lover of the sea and sails, a passionate hunter. He is also fond of horse riding.
