The assistant (1932-1942), the associate professor of Surgery Department of the First Moscow State Medical University. The head of Surgery Department in Latvia State University (since 1946). At the same time the chief surgeon (1949-1959) and the chief neurosurgeon (since 1959) in Ministry of Health of Latvia SSR.
