In 1881 Alexander Bao graduated from the Mikhailovsky Voronezh Cadet Corps,and then in 1883 he graduated from the Konstantinovskoye Military Academy in Saint Petersburg.
In 1883-1886 Alexander was a lieutenant of the Mozhaisk Infantry Regiment in Voronezh. Then in 1888-1889 he worked as a secretary of the Korotoyak County Territorial Council. Since 1889 Alexander woked as a clerk of the General Staff in Saint Petersburg. During his life in Voronezh he published articles on social and moral issues in local and central newspapers. Since 1891 his works were published in the Moscow journal Questions of Philosophy and Psychology.
He is the author of the book "Moral Views of B. Wundt: A Critical Study" (Voronezh, 1888, issue 1). He also worked on research Monism or dualism: (Psychological analysis of sympathy and altruism).
At the end of his life Alexander committed suicide.
