Alexander Mitrofanovich graduated from the Physics Department of Kharkov State University (1971).
Career
Alexander Mitrofanovich was an engineer of the radio parts factory (Abovyan, Kotayk', Armenia, 1971-1973). A physics teacher at a secondary school in the city of Stary Oskol, Belgorod Region (1973-1974). Since 1974, engineer of the cryogenic laboratory, assistant of the department of higher mathematics, since 1982 senior lecturer, associate professor of the department of metal physics, since 1989 professor, head of the department of higher mathematics and physical and mathematical modeling of Voronezh Polytechnic Institute (Voronezh State Technical University).
Field of research: electronic theory of defective metals, theory of elastic plastic deformation of crystals, dynamic theory of heterophase systems.
Author of over 200 publications, including books: "The theory of the formation of a heterophasic structure and the pseudoelastic reaction of single crystal rods undergoing martensitic phase transformations" (Voronezh, 1988; together with I.L.Bataronov and A.T. Kosilov), "Plastic deformation whiskers" (Voronezh, 1991; together with A. M. Belikov, A. I. Drozhzhin, S. A. Antipov, M. I. Starovikov, I. L. Bataronov).
