Career
Member of Parliament, King’s Lynn (Conservative), 1886-1892. Served Matabele war, 1896 (medal). Major in Rhodesian Regiment, Boer war, 1899-1900, and afterwards Lieutenant-Colonel commanding 21st Battalion Imperial Yeomanry, 1901-1902 (Queen's and King"s medals).
Decorated for services in Boer war.
