Alexandr Ilyich graduated from Lipetsk secondary school №5 (1955), the construction department of Lipetsk Mining and Metallurgical College (1958), the faculty of journalism at Moscow State University (1966).
From 1966 till 1970 Alexandr Ilyich Krivonosov worked as a reporter and Evenki district radio senior editor. Since 1970 he was an editor, senior editor, head of the department of Voronezh Committee on Television and Radio Broadcasting (later - Voronezh State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company).
In 1970, Alexandr Ilyich won the bronze medal at the USSR National Economy Achievements Exhibition. In 1985 and 1987, he was awarded certificates of honour of the USSR State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting. In 1986, Alexandr Ilyich received the badge "Expert of the Soviet Union Television and Radio". In 1999, he was awarded a Second Class Civilian Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland". In 2006, he won a regional journalist contest in the "Master" nomination.
