Alexey Nikolaevich Budishchev was born on January 17(29), 1864 in a small village, Saratov oblast (now Chardym, Saratov oblast, Russian Federation). The future writer was born in the family of a small landowner who served as a mediator, then a justice of the peace.
Education
After graduating from Penza gymnasium in 1884 Alexey Nikolaevich entered the faculty of Natural Sciences, Moscow University; in 1885 decided to change the faculty and moved to medical. Here he continued his literary experiments. But soon in 1888 left the university due to complex situations in the University as a result of the adoption of the new University Statute, which sharply limits the rights of students, but also because of interest in literacy. That is why went to Saint Petersburg, where he devoted himself entirely to the work of a professional writer.
