Waller, Alfred Ernest was born on March 23, 1888 in White Plains, New York, United States. Son of James Taylor and Sarah Louise (Fisher) Waller.


Graduated from the high school, White Plains, 1906. Student in Electrical Engineer, Cooper Union, New York. Special courses in mineralogy and radio frequency currents, Columbia.


Employed in underground department New York Edison Company. Became connected with Ward Leonard Electric Company, 1909, production manager, 1916, chief engineer, 1918, director, 1923-1928. Managing director National Elec.

Manufacturers Association, 1926-1929. Then employment manager of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company of New New York.

Member board of trustees and in charge of Public Works of Village of Bronxville, 1939-1948, in charge Division of Public Works, same, 1939-1948. Member New York City Advisory Council on Business Education. Special mention for work on signal corps equipment.
